Praise Report and Question on Enzymes for baby

A praise report! My 4 year old (will be in Feb.) learned to swallow

a capsule today! I basically just told him how and he did it and has

been doing it all day. He was so excited, he said, " Mommy, now I

don't have to open my enzymes anymore! " How many 4 year olds know

what there is even such a word as " enzyme! "

I am very pleased with the DigestGold by Enzymedica. My son is doing

very well on them. I have a question though. My 16 month old needs

to take them too, especially when we eat anything with eggs in it. I

have been opening it and giving it to him in water, but he HATES it.

What is a better solution? Also, is he too young for the enzymes?

I am concerned because he is getting the egg in my breastmilk, but I

don't really want to give him an enzmyme before he nurses! What can

I do? I don't want to stop nursing or eating eggs myself. With the

enzymes, we are tolerating them very well now.

It's just, they seem to make my little one cranky or stopped up. The

back of his arms are a little rashy too.

Thanks for any info. The SCD is working well, and with the enzymes,

we are being able to tolerate some more good legal stuff. I am

thankful. They are expensive, but they are worth it. I got them at

a discount on the web, which helped.

God bless you all and have a blessed and merry Christmas!!

I give enzymes as well as the probiotics in legal juice - either pineapple or

white grape and use a syringe. My 20 mo old has been doing this for several

months and it must taste like juice because he loves it and doesn't give me any

grief at all.

I tried water once when we were out of juice and, well, no thanks was his

answer. LOL

I know juices are supposed to be diluted half and half. I don't do this when I

give meds because I want them IN him, though you could try diluted first to see

if it works. It's such a small amount I haven't worried about it in my case.
