Hi Heidi-

One of the other members of the group (- 's mom) mentioned an

alternative therapy for potentially stopping seizures called the Ki

Method. Apparently, it was researched by a man who had a brain injury

and started having seizures as a result so he researched alternative

methods of stopping them from the orient. Basically, it is just to

hold both thumbs during a seizure and the flow of electricity going

thru the body is supposed to stop them. I tried it not long ago when

my little boy was having a complex partial seizure just for fun and as

soon as I grabbed his thumbs, it stopped (coincidence? Who knows!).

Was all excited to try it again since it is noninvasive - and got my

chance yesterday during a t/c seizure. Not lucky this time but worth

trying. also said this method could become more successful the

more you do it.

You know - always looking for easy answers to stop these seizures!

Hope that answer clarifies things!

(mom to - 2yrs old - ketokid since 7/03 - Med free

since 3/27 HOORAY!)
