Guest guest Posted January 6, 2003 Report Share Posted January 6, 2003 /Alisa (or anyone else who may wish to reply): On October 28, 2002, I had my 2nd dose of RAI (100mc I-131). On October 31, 2002 I resumed taking my synthroid (.125mg). My blood was subsequently checked at five and then eight weeks after resuming medication. The bloodwork showed my TSH had dropped from 42.2 (at time of scan) to 4.42 after 5 weeks back on the meds and the TG had dropped from 209 (at time of scan) to 30.7. After eight weeks on the meds the TSH had dropped to 2.20. I don't have my TG yet. Following receipt of the latest bloodwork, drawn on December 27, 2002, on January 3, 2003, my Dr. increased my synthroid from .125mg to ..150mg. I will have my bloodwork done again in 6-8 weeks. Hopefully, we can get my TSH supressed to <.10mU/L. From what I have read over the past few months, with the increase in my dosage, I " may " begin to notice various effects of going hyperthyroid? Any idea on when, if at all, that might happen? Do either of you know whether this dosage increase will get my TSH to the properly supressed level?
