can cold meds effect THS blood work?

I have a really bad cold and for the last 3 days i have been taking

afrin nose spray. and one time i took tylonal cold. I am suposed to

go one day this week ( thurs or fri to get my blood work done to

check my ths level. i have an apointment with my endo for the first

check on jan 13th. So she wanted me to take the test a week before

my apointment to make sure the results get to her before my

apointment. I was going to go today, but then remembered the

pharmist said to call the doc before taking the cold meds cause they

can effect your synthroid.... i called the reg doc she said it is ok

to take them for a few days. ( she told me not to take afrin ( there

office just does not like that one for anyone) but i like it, it

clears me up in seconds...) anyway, just wondering if i should not

take any cold meds for a few days then go take the blood test. It is

my first one, and i want it to be accurate.
