Guest guest
If anybody's local NPR station get's the Chef's Table, this week--towards the end of the show--he interviewed a dietician about the FDA and food labelling and upcoming food labelling changes. Nothing most of us don't already know but it really bangs home the lack of trust we should have in our labels and the power the food companies have even when they've deliberately (as in " spices " rather than itemizing) not mentioned ingredients and somebody has eaten their food and gotten sick or worse because of it. And it also mentioned the rise in food allergies (attributed, possibly, to the increase in " environmental toxins " ) and how complicated it all is if you have food allergies.
