Guest guest
Hello, It's been a year and half since my thyroid was removed. I'm still trying to get a good regime of thyroid replacement meds. I was on 150 of Levoxyl for a year, but then this summer I became depressed. I went on Zoloft in August, and then my TSH suddenly revealed that I was Hypothyroid. I went up to 175 of the Levoxyl, felt great enough to quit the Zoloft, but then became hyperthyroid (little sleep, lots of heart pain.) By the way, I read something on this site about someone else taking Zoloft and then suddenly going hypothyroid. That was enlightening information. Since that time I've been trying Armour, and have yet to have a blood test, but it seems that I can't take very much of it without having the heart pains. Seems to be a problem with the T3. So. Though no one can answer this question precisely, I am trying to determine if depression needs to be treated as a side issue,if not a side effect, and that the important thing is to find a thyroid drug that doesn't give one heart pains. I am really not interested in wearing out my heart! Has anyone else felt that they were camping out between heart pain and depression/exhaustion? Just curious.
