Not looking pregnant...

Hello Ladies,

I just had to weigh in on the subject (no pun intended!) :o)

I became preggo at about 9 months post-op. I was still about 70 pounds from my

goal. While pregnant, I continued to lose weight as far as the scale was

concerned. But, baby was growing well and I was getting thicker around the

middle. Although my face, arms, legs and upper body seemed to continue to thin

out.

My skin looked better than ever and my hair was actually getting thicker and

looked great! All my co-workers (all women) kept saying how great I looked and

that I didn't look pregnant. I really didn't show much until I was about 24 or

25 weeks along. Even then, I never got comments from strangers about being

pregnant.

My take is that the people I worked with were so supportive after my surgery

that they felt the need to continue to comment on my weight. I know their

intentions were simply to be supportive. They knew what a major decision it was

to have WLS...and because of that, I think they felt that the weight loss was at

the forefront of my concern. So, many felt the need to tell me that I didn't

look preggo. :o)

I understand the desire to " look " pregnant, but really...I knew I was pregnant

and was very glad for it. I think when you've waited as long as we had...almost

11 years, your just glad to be pregnant and not really aware of (or care,

really) what others say or do.

I will confess that since Jordan came at 29 weeks...I did feel a little

jipped...I really loved being pregnant! LOL!!! I think I only got about a

month's wear out of my maternity clothes! LOL!!!

I'm just praying to get another positive HPT soon! I WANT TO BE PREGNANT,

again! :o)

:o) Blessings,

Jordan's SAHMommy

( in California)
