Guest guest
Vicki... Kids are so different today, huh? They are SO SPECIFIC about what they want. One of my teenage grandsons informed me that he would PREFER me to give him a Gap gift certificate instead of me picking out clothes for him. Good for him and MUCH easier for ME. His Aunts will do the same thing, so he will "collect" the certificates and buy an outrageously expensive article of clothing that will end up in a heap on his bedroom floor until his mother goes in there to round up his laundry. Were we like that? Maybe we were and I just don't recall. Annette -----Original Message-----From: anzavic@... I had gotten the flu virus and thedoctor told me it would hang on for what seemed like forever. Then itwent away after a few months. But, then one morning I woke up with flulike symptoms and that continued for a long time before I talked to thedoctor again. He just said I needed rest. I didn't know then that Ihad already gotten this disease... What was interesting about the theory of a virus, is that they caninject it into a mouse and it doesn't get the myositis. I'll have tofind that article on it. I just put it away.... <g>Speaking of christmas gifts.... my two grand kids want dolls this year.So I said SURE I'll get them there dolls. Well, they want the one thateats, sleeps, cries, potties, pee's,.. you name it, it does it. Atleast I found a place in Australia that has them. That's one lessthing for me to worry about shipping out to them.

Guest guest
I am afraid to buy clothes for teens or preteens. I would rather they want to wear them!! I am out of touch a bit, I guess. Kylie's Grandma has been taking her shopping for the past 4 years for her birthday so she can pick out her own clothes and then she takes them home and wraps them for her!! My nephew who will be 18 next month, we just buy him gift certificates for Wherehouse music stores, the fast food restaurants around their area, gas coupons, sporting good store coupons, etc... some people think gift certificates are tacky. I, personally, love them. Especially for restaurants. Take care! Zanna

Guest guest
Zanna... My Mother and I love to get gift certificates for our local grocery store! I know that sounds odd, but it really helps toward the end of the month, and we can buy some specialty food items we would not normally buy. We get them as stocking stuffers from family. Guest guest
I would love that too. I love to buy lobster and stuff occasionally but never can seem to fit it into the budget.... Zanna
