Hi Val

I have been on Pred with some h/c and dessicated for 7 years and this last year

I added in 12.5 mcg T3 and did well plus 1/2 tab fludrocortiosne but I think I

have got muscle wasting, the skin hangs underneath my arms even though I am

actually very slim. Also my face is more lined than my friends of the same age

(61) and sometimes the skin seems to hang on my legs too though since building

up since the crash it does appear to be better so maybe I was very dehydrated.

However until my recent crash my muscles were very strong because I do regular

yoga and usually walk my dog every day. Is this skin hanging thing the same as

muscle wasting that you mention or have I got that wrong?

BTW I also take Estrogel one pump daily but I don't do well on natural

progesterone it blocks the effect of the steroid and gives me horrendous mood

swings and migraines so I don't take it. On testing this year my levels of

saliva estrogen were good so was the urine break down test of estrogens, Genova

said that they were protective levels. Progesterone was still over the range

for menopause just as I have been all my life, ie high progesterone low

estrogen. I have tried low amounts or DHEA but again didn't do well feeling

like it was blocking the effects of the steroid.

Thanks

Pam
