Guest guest
I would be guessing but as a staring ppoint I would tyr no more than 1 grain Natural and juast use the T3 ot build to unhypo levels. I owuld start by adding 12.5mcgT3 and dropping 1 grain thenin a couple weeks ( or less oif you feel MORE hypo) add in another 12.5mcg T3. Then wait a couple weks and drop to the 1 grains and add in 12.5mcg T3 thne see where you arein about 4 weeks wiht some labs, including RT3. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Alayna, thank you so much for your kind words.it means a lot to me. im very thankful for the groups and the good people on them .I have taken psych meds in the past, I hated them, they really did not work for me . If I could just get all this thyroid/adrenal stuff straightened out I would feel better all around , all of us would I think. Im just down because its a RT3 issue again, I was hopping I just needed more thyroid meds.I hate feeling this depressed, its not really me. Question, I am not a woman so I don't know the answer Were your periods actually made light or made " normal " with you used to heavier periods for many years due to Hypo??? As Val says, try combinations of Natural and T3 in any combination that works for you. The " losing muscle " with T3 thing is generally when body builders abuse it. Used to replace what your body should have anyway there shouldn't be any loss. Nick
Guest guest
This sounds good, its what I was thinking too. being on about 1 grain to a grain and a half of NTH and the rest T3. Doing it this way I will have to go mostly by symptoms do you think? And taking the meds this way, will it make the SHBG go up too high again? I just looked at the STTM site, for lab work places because I dont think my doc would run blood work again so soon. and you have to have your docs permission to get a RT3 test ,its some law now . My doctor doesn't want me on any T3 unless its the time release kind. he thinks its dangerous, I have no faith in him, I dont think he is really knowledgeable about most of this at all. I have to go back to see him in Jan, I guess I will need to lie to him about the meds im taking. So what to do if I cant get another RT3 test? sherie > > I would be guessing but as a staring ppoint I would tyr no more than 1 > grain Natural and juast use the T3 ot build to unhypo levels. Guest guest
Hi Nick, my periods have always been on the light side, but while on just T3 they got lighter , and the days I had my cycles was less too. I usually have them for about three days, while on T3 they went to about two days. Also the signs of ovulation were not as noticeable while on T3. I hope that was not too much information. thank you , sherie > > >If the T3 did not mess with my cycles and the body hair I would have no > >hesitation going back on it. > > Question, I am not a woman so I don't know the answer > > Were your periods actually made light or made " normal " with you used > to heavier periods for many years due to Hypo??? > > As Val says, try combinations of Natural and T3 in any combination > that works for you. > > The " losing muscle " with T3 thing is generally when body builders > abuse it. Look in our links section for the links to these labs. Guest guest
Val, I have to go get blood drawn for SHBG, DHEA-S, estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone in about a week. doctor wants me to get it drawn around ovulation. Should I wait to switch my meds around until after the tests, so the T3 dosent mess with the SHBG or testosterone? Or would it not make a difference if I started taking some T3 now? I just want an accurate reading, to see if the SHBG went down and the testosterone went up. thank you , sherie > > I would be guessing but as a staring ppoint I would tyr no more than 1 > grain Natural and juast use the T3 ot build to unhypo levels. Guest guest
I would try to hold where you are till after testing to get a clear picture. BTW T3 does NOT lower TOTAL testosterone, if thta is lwo it si form low adrenal funciton. What it does do is raise SHBG which BINDS some more testosterone which lowers FREE testosterone. So make certain they test BOTH free and total. If the total is low then reducing T3 will nto help enough -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Sherie- That suicidal thing-it's terrible. I bet most people on here at one time or another felt it and still feel it- I have. But it will pass- and you will get incremental improvements that will make you feel it's all worth it. I read Norman Cousins book Anatomy of An Illness and he talked about watching his favorite comedy films practically nonstop. How much it helped him- probably thru generating endorphins. When I was at the absolute depths I tried it and it really worked. The only problem was i tried some of the 3 Stooges Routines on my girlfriend and she beat the hell out of me. (I'm kidding for those who take that too seriously.) > > Just got labs back, and it would seem the RT3 is back, why I dont know. > > Im not having alot of hypo type symptoms really , mostly just hair loss and the last few days some depression but I dont think that its thyroid related.I dont know what to do.
