YES YES YES TELLL ME EVERYTHING!!!

First how long did you just tube feed? how old is your son? did

you gain seizure control...

I am afraid I might need alittle thicker then puree for Lexxie she

aspirates on thin liquids,, ANY HELP you can give will go along way

around here, I am beginning to hate the smwll of the formula!!!!

Lexxies lips and mouth a re so dry,,, if I could only just get rid

of one of the bolus and give her something special!

Hi Penny,

When we started the diet, we were having a hard time oral feeding him and had

just decided to place a g-tube. Within a couple of weeks we had him eating

everything oraly. This lasted for about 9 months. August of 2002 Josh went

backwards with oral feeds and we then went on only g-tube until this past

January. He will not take any liquid by mouth but we are able to get him to

take

most of his puree. turned 3 in October. He sustained a brain injury at

birth causing damage and seizures. We had seizure control for about 7-8

months. During that process we weaned him off all his meds. He started having

seizures again around that time. We have not gotten him seizure free since

then.

Atikins has a thickener in their product line and I am waiting to hear back

from the dietician to see if that is something we could try with Josh. Maybe

that is something you can look into. I found it on the Atkins web site.
