uteri didelphis - pregnant in one uteri but both uteri have placenta

Has anyone ever experienced this? I am pregnant in one uteri, but

both uteri are growing and have placentas. Any comments would be

great. Thanks.

Hi there,

With my first pregnancy, I had built up a lot of extra tissue in my

non-pregnant uterus, which caused spotting at the beginning and post

partum d & c to drain. With this pregnancy, in the other uterus, my

non-pregnant uterus is empty.

How do they know it is a placenta, versus endometrial tissue build

up?

Are you sure your aren't pregnant in each uterus? How is it possible to

have placenta in your other uterus and not be pregnant?

The doctor did an ultrasound and said I had to placenta, but a baby

in one. I am not sure how they know it is a placenta. All I do know

is that I am growing at very quick rate and showing much earlier than

most. Also, did you have to have a cervical stich?

Hi there,

No cerclage during my first pregnancy, and none for this pregnancy,

at least yet. I'll see the peri tomorrow to see if it is necessary.

I'm sure your dr will continue to watch to look at both uteri

throughout your pregnancy.
