Hello. After fighting with hypothyroidism for approx 6 years, I had

my thyroid removed on December 16th. I had two ultrasounds in the

past year come back with a slight growth and to be honest, I was

tired of all of the wondering. So, my dr and I decided to remove.

The pathology report came back and on Dece 23rd, I was told that I

have thyroid cancer. I am still in shock. I am 29 and a single

mother to a beautiful daughter. I have been hanging in there but, it

is hard. Right now I am two weeks post op and post med..so, the lack

of horomone is killing me. I am so tired. Oh, and I am gaining

weight now at an alarming pace. Can anyone tell me what to expect

from here on out..With the radioiodine therapy and will this weight

come back off after the therapy and I get back on the thyroid

hormone?? Thanks!!

Sincerely,
