Guest guest
Rose, I believe hypoglycemia is either a side effect of the GBP or its hereditary and we didn't know we had it when we were heavy and eating a lot. My BP was a little low all my life as well and didn't know it til I got to a normal weight. Orthostatic Hypotension and slight Hypoglycemia...low blood pressure/volume and low blood sugar. Both aggravated by pregnancy in some ways. However, they are minor ailments, all you need to do is make sure you eat in a way that keeps your blood sugars level. E.g. when you eat a meal, 2 hrs later, eat a few peanut butter crackers or a piece of fruit or drink some OJ. Small meals several times a day is a natural way to help this and since that is how we are supposed to eat anyway, we got it half-licked! Guest guest
RE:<<<Subject: (unknown) Hi. I am having the same trouble and it is getting rather Depressing........,dumping on everything...nauseas all the time and throwing up daily. I am pregnant though so I am just praying it ends when I give birth. I have been hospitalized twice for dehydration since I can't eat but can't not eat, also due to low blood sugar. ....>>>> JULIE - I am sorry you have to deal with this, but its probably much more the pregnancy than the surgery causing the nausea. I know that doesn't help, but maybe you can try liquids for the blood sugar since you can't keep much down and need the fluid intake anyway. A sip every so many minutes of some liquid soup and maybe juice too. If you can't take juice, try freeze pops or freeze real juice into cubes and crush it up and chomp it or suck on it. That might help your nausea. Snoballs help my nausea so I think it's the ice chomping. Also, some PB or cheese crackers or dry bland cereal (Cheerios?)...if you can't eat a whole one at a time, just take a bite and suck on it til it dissolves in your mouth...do this every few minutes or so in case you feel pukey. Good luck and I hope you feel better emotionally as well as physically! Shirley
