Guest guest
I have been writing to people for years about SR. Most of their oncs never heard of it and generally just dispense the stuff they have on their shelf. I posted several years ago about a Radiation group or association that has the information on who does the SR aka Conformal Radiation aka IMRT. I cannot find it, but found this on the IMRT .. Peacock .. Radiation Therapy Onocology Group 1- The other manufacturors of machines ..... Varian, Novalis would have similar information. It is well over four years for me since I completed the Varian radiation for inoperable liver mets. For newbies on the list ... the Novalis machine is newer .... see http://radonc.urmc.rochester.edu/novalis_brochure/gen_mets_study.html They have this machine @ MD but not the experience @ University of Rochester. Hope this helps in some way. Take and God bless. Cliff " The door of opportunity won't open unless you do some pushing. " . . . Guest guest
Cliff, Thanks again for the information. I have been searching around the Net and locating places with the cyberknife. SR is apparently done for brain tumors and tremors more places than for the lung or liver. I'm told that maintaining stillness is or was the problem.
