Guest guest
Patti, I am not sure about chemo. My understanding is that you could receive it for any recurrence of the disease, especially since the disease may return to another location. I could be wrong. The thing I did NOT know and learned halfway through my radiation treatment is that you cannot have repeat radiation on the same area. Once you use that option it is not available to you again. However, it MAY be usable in another location of the body. My mom had breat CA, partial mastectomy, chemo and radiation. Just over 4 years later they discovered lung mets. She took chemo again for that but it was not successful. A lot of the success of a treatment depends on how vigilant your practitioners are and how fast they discover and treat recurrences. I wish you and your aunt the best news possible. Deborah > > My cousins mother called her this weekend. They are running tests to > confirm that the cancer has come back.
