Guest guest
Hi Gena! Glad to see a familiar face. Good for you not giving up. I've given up for a while, but I've stayed active so I haven't put TOO much back on. How is Alaska? Florida is nice and hot this timeof year with a ton of rain. I look forward to talking to you. > > Doni????? > As in Doni in Fla???? I forgot you had a new ID! Glad you are back!!! > I'm plugging away but have been stuck for awhile now. Guest guest
Doni, Well I have had my moments I tell ya! I did gain some back too. :-( But can't give up. I can't risk gaining any more back! So even if I'm not losing at the moment I know I have still lost a lot and I don't want to wind up back there again so whatever it takes, ya know? Alaska is good. A bit cool this spring. Usually we would have already had 70s a few times but not this year. Been in the 60s but that's it. Mike is in the process of buying the company he works for. His boss Tim officially retired last month and Mike is for the first time really running everything so he has been under a lot of stress but it's getting better. Everybody has been really positive and supportive so that helps. I can't wait for the purchase to be complete! Things keep popping up in our credit that we have to straighten out so if anything our credit will be squeeky clean by the time it's done! I told you Niki is in the Army now right? She did basic in South Carolina, then was in Texas for awhile, now she is in Washington DC. She is doing good. She loves it. Got her first apartment. Has 2 roommates. One girl and one guy. Daddy wasn't too thrilled with that but I said I kind of like there being a male presence and he said well yeah I guess. Cassie is almost as tall as me now, she is 13 now. Summer break started last week and she is already driving me nuts! LOL I like my routine! Her being home is one of the things that messed me up last summer. She's always wanting to do this and that and I need to do housework and work out, grrr! I am planning on taking her on some day hikes and the zoo and stuff so I can still get some exercise in. I just got done telling her she doesn't have to be entertained every minute! My mom worked and my sisters didn't do a thing with me and I didn't have many kids to play with either. There are things to do, she just doesn't want to do them and is constantly bugging me.She wanted to make cookies. Oh yeah, I really need that! Well that's about it around here. How are you? School? Work? Boyfriend? What's new? I've missed you!!! Hugs, Gena > Hi Gena! Glad to see a familiar face. Guest guest
Hey Gena....glad that things are going so well with you. Jeff and I are in the process of buying a house - we're not engaged yet though. We thought a house was more important than a ring at this time. I graduate from college in December, and then I'm going to graduate school right after. Florida is well - my parents moved down from New Jersey, so now they're only 2 hours away instead of a day or so, or a plane ride. They're actually coming to visit for fathers day, which is equally cool - it's the first time THEY've come to visit ME in the last four years! Nothing else new. Still struggling to lose some poundage. I get so discouraged so easily now. Remember when I dropped like 30 pounds without missing a beat? Now trying to lose even ONE pound is a struggle. But with the figure skating and everything I hope I'll get back on track. I've gotta finish these posts and then get back to work before I get canned lol - talk soon! > > Doni, > Well I have had my moments I tell ya! I did gain some back too. :- ( > But can't give up. Guest guest
Doni, I'm glad to hear things are well with you too. That's cool your parents moving down there and coming to see YOU! Have a good visit and I hope the closing on the house goes smoothly. We are going to refinance ours. The interest rate is 8.5 right now and we can refinance for 4.3 now! We've already lived i n this house for 11 years. can't believe it's been so long already! So we are just going to refinance for 15. The " poundage " , ugh! Yeah I know what you mean. Remember when I dropped 80 without any problem?! Why oh why I haven't made any progress in over a year I don't know. I mean there were times I was slacking but never totally went crazy. I really do do things differently now. I never go very many days without exercise. I avoid booze for weeks at a time and even then might only have 1 or 2 drinks, maybe. I'm not an emotional or boredom eater. I'm not a big eater. I have tried changing things, intervals, incline, walking outside somedays, tread other days, joined a gym, so I could do circuit training and nothing!!!! Just have to keep trying, I know. Well it's getting late and I am about 5 days behind on posts as you can see from my late reply. So better go. I'm sure glad you are back!
