Things like that need to be reported to the management. They should

immediately close the play area (or part of it) so it can be properly

cleaned. And if they don't do that then tell them you will call the

health department and let them deal with the situation. We were there

once and someone puked in the ball pit and the whole play structure had

to be closed for the day so it could be properly cleaned.

..

Also, as an aside . . . I'm in Southern California too (Thousand Oaks),

and

the last time I let my kids play in our local Mcs, they came and

reported

that some little child had leaked some poopy from his diaper or pants

and it

was all over one of those tunnel slides. Sorry to be so graphic, but

you

gotta watch out for stuff like that! Once it's in the slides, it's also

on the

arcade-game handles and pretty much everything else. Major yuk!!

I agree, I watch ours like a hawk. If for one minute I thought anything like

that was in the tubes then it would be straight to management. You just need to

keep your ears open a kid is guaranteed to say ewwwwwwwwww loudly, thats when

you start checking this out.

Interesting note: Mc's menus are NOT identical throughout countries

or even provinces/states. Most of the McD's in my stomping grounds

(Greater Vancouver area, British Columbia, Canada) have Grilled Chicken on

Whole Wheat on the menu. Not so just south of us in Washington state --

just had a discussion on this on a different list. Out of 17 WA McD

outlets reported on, 6 of them didn't have the Grilled Chicken sandwich on

their menu. Neither did two outlets we stopped in on during our vacation

on the Canadian prairies.

That's one of the reasons I hate public pools and don't believe children

should EVER be allowed in public hot tubs unless they are older teenagers.

I also really hate that places like Mcs have turned restaurants into

playgrounds. Most parents, of course, teach their children that we don't run

around in restaurants...but not all. I hate being in a restaurant where kids

are running around. It's so inconsiderate of other patrons. Truly a selfish

act.

Of course I can totally understand how McDs fits the bill for a place for

kids to play while Mom studies. So don't think I'm criticizing.
