Oh, Bonnie,

It's the norm now apparently that I just don't have the time to write. To

Andy's disbelief, I fell asleep at least twice already tonight (just cannot

make myself go to bed to stay at 8:00), but I keep having nights/mornings

of getting up with Miss Kate at 3:00 or so. I am a zombie and disgusted!

All of that said: your post has raised my spirits tremendously. I'm so

happy for you and your entire family. You give me hope that it's truly

worthwhile to keep plugging away at change.

On that note, our Regional Center is being audited because (dah) it's

not making sure that the various local agencies - as well as itself - are

providing for the clients. Don't know what this will mean yet, but I'm

extremely concerned...

But, again, I think of you and yours and smile and know that things will

move forward here as well.

Martha,

If it means what I think it means then theree will be cuts coming. Programs

are getting cut or revamped all over the place. Or it could also be someimtng

great- that theyl'll be forced to provide for clients in reasonable time.

What do you mean Regional Center? Is serviced by deaf/blind?

Hope you get some sleep.

Bonnie - I have been off list, but am so glad I was able to pop on and see this.

How incredibly wonderful for Patty and for you! It gives me tears of

joy as well.

Now to disappear into tax papers again, although I would much prefer

to stay on line and see how people are doing.
