I am not planning to have any scans as they have been useless w/o an ablative dose of rai anyway. I am simply going to check my TG. That has always been my tell all sign. I was just wondering if being that hypo could somehow have a negative impact on my breast milk. I am hoping to put off treatment for another year or so to breast feed based on my numbers. We'll see. In this case, I would guess that going hypo would probably not be a problem while breast feeding, but I honestly don't know; I'm pretty certain no one has ever written about this. I assume you're correct, that your baby will not be relying on your thyroid hormones at that point, but there could be ramifications that I'm not thinking about (such as the possibility that being hypo might effect milk production or flow). Please let us know what your doctors recommend, so that we'll know the answer for the next woman who asks the question :-)
