Guest guest
Yes, her mouth was covered; his only information was auditory. She was surprised he did so well, given the amount of hearing he has. on 4/4/04 12:34 PM, Semesky, Animegination.com at semesky@... wrote: > Did she turn her back and/or cover her mouth when she said them > > Re: Digest Number 2092 > > >> THanks, I'll ask my audie about this. Guest guest
Hi. I just wanted to thank everyone for their responses - this can seem so overwheliming at times, but I'm really thankful to hear others' experiences. I will definitely ask for clarification from the ENT about why we should wait and I am going to request a CI evaluation just to see where we stand. I think is getting good benefit from her aids, but I'm not really sure. I know kids can be tricky - they learn to adapt to the situation. must have been underaided for months, but she could do the ling 6 sound test with no trouble and did tons of auditory discrimination exercises, fooling both myself and her audiologist (who is no longer her audiologist). I think a CI evaluation is a great idea. I've been noticing more and more that she tries to make up for what she's missing and if you aren't watching for it, sometimes it's hard to catch so sometimes I'm not 100% sure what she's getting auditorally. Thanks again for everyone's help! Cheryl (mom to - 4 severe hearing loss and david - 23 months, hearing) > I'm a little confused by this. I'd ask what he means by this. Once we got the implant we wish we'd gotten it MUCH earlier. > > Maybe your dr has a reason we don't know about?
