At 8 years old he started cooking mac a roni and cheese because his Dad and I were both laid up. From there he is the best Chef. Took culinary 9th through 12th. He can cook anything and never uses recipes. He makes chicken taste like steak. Ofcourse his secret is his own.I get kicked out of the kitchen if i try to cook dinner. it is hard for me to stand longer than 15 minutes but I love to cook and use to do my own catering. He does the shopping a lot and he brings home so much cheese. We are big on turkey burgers but he cooks and serves it like art. We are blessed but when he leaves I can cook again except our 12 yr old likes to cook now too. hoohum Carol in fla Tina JJOIPPKOOUNUJOP'IUJK0--9UTINA MK-099-99\OP'[-0 I]9IKI099 U[ Yahoo! Guest guest
When my mom was going through this, she made a new rule: if you dirty it up, you wash it, dry it, and put it back where it goes. Let's just say, after that rule was instated (and we all thought it was more than fair, and actually, did her dishes and cleaned the house and did laundry for her, we were teenagers, what can I say, strange creatures LOL) but after that, I got used to it, and absolutely hated doing dishes when we had company over! It was terrible when I got married, because even through college with roommates, I mentioned that rule and everyone liked it so that's how it was, it was a shock when I had to not only cook, but clean up and put everything away! I felt like it was so unfair to watch my new hubby sitting on the couch watching TV when I wanted to sit there with him, but I had to wash the dishes. LOL! No, looking back on it, I realize I was spoiled, but there are times even now, when I wish I didn't have the sole responsibility for that. Guess it just comes with the territory of it, and I can't even insist that he do those things because I don't work at all and I feel like the least I can do is take care of the household stuff (which really, I don't mind and prefer to do now that I'm set in my own routines and methods of doing it). I sure do miss the dishwasher though, we had one for about a year in the last place we lived and it was pure luxury (won't go into details but that was about the only luxurious thing about living there). I realize I could get a floor model one and hook it up to the sink, and there are times when I've been very tempted to do it, but we really don't have room for that in this house as it is. Oh well, I just learned how to use less dishes and wash them as I cook so I have less to do all at once, and it works better that way, and it's less stressful than seeing a whole bunch of dishes to do (somehow just seeing dishes in the sink makes me tired even thinking about it some days) LOL! Have a great day everyone! (stewlis)ville, NC, USA please send me an email with all the directions.
