Guest guest
Sandy, It was me that said I cannot go into ketosis, not Tammy... :-D Anyway, it is dangerous for me as a Type 2 diabetic for my body to produce ketones, for me it means that either my glucose or my insulin is way out of whack, and that is a bad thing. There is a longer, more complicated name, but anywho, its not a safe thing for me. I talked to my doctor at great length about Dr. Adkins plan as well as many others, and for what I need to do and the way I need to go about it, low fat and just keep an eye on the calories, along with exercise, is the way to go. Its something I can do for the rest of my life, too. I could not follow the Adkins way forever, I like my carbs too much. I think its wonderful that it is working for you, and I am not saying that it is unsafe, its just not a safe choice for me personally. Hope this makes sense?
