Guest guest
Dear Sherry, Hope you are doing O.K. The following attachment is an excellent article about people who thought they had M.S. when they really had Lyme, and the major improvements when they got the correct treatment. My computer is up to date with all the virus scans so the attachment should be fine. We will be seeing an Infectious Diseases specialist who treats Lyme on Feb 14. (Great treat for Valentine's Day!!!) Hope to get some better treatment then. We have to travel up to Sydney (about 12 hour drive) as there is no-one treating or even acknowledging Lyme here in Melbourne as far as I know. All the best for the new year, Rosemary Trudeau. My LYme tests were always equivocal. I was put on aggressive IV ANTIBIOTIC Thereapy. My MRI now shows my lesions are much smaller. My symtoms including my migraines have all but gone. I am continuing on Antibiotics by mouth and getting better month by month! I then went to a friend of mine who is a doctor, after I had found out that the brain lesions that were detected by my MRI could also indicate Lyme disease, and asked for appropiate abx for lyme she was a little hesitant but she asked a colleague what was the right abx for Lyme and put me on IM Rocephin for a month. I also took a lot of vit B12. It wasn't until I remembered my Erthema Migrans rash, that I realized that Lyme was a possibility. Unfortunately, many do not get a rash and get saddled with the MS diagnosis. IV antibiotics have helped me dramatically too. sci.med.diseases.lyme: Re: lyme disease/multiple sclerosis connection http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en & lr=lang_en & safe=off & ic=1 & th=3648265cd03071\ 7,4 & seekm=4tett8%24due%40newsbf02.news.aol.com#p ===== Other Lyme disease/multiple sclerosis patients: ---------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: Is MS-like Plaque Ever Seen In Lyme Patients?
