Guest guest
Our Dan doctor had start on the probiotics yesterday. I gave her one in the morning about 30 minutes before breakfast. She had a horrible morning at school. Again today the same thing. Now with it is hard to say what is causing her to have bad morning, it really doesn't make sense to assume it is the probiotics but I just wanted to check and make sure I shouldn't be doing something differently. Oh, she is taking the SCDolphalise. Thank You, Sheri mother to ASD/SCD 1-12-

Guest guest
Today was day 4 of the probiotics and all of the last 4 days she has melted down at school after taking it. She seems to recover around lunch time. I guess it could be yeast die off but I have not seen any other signs like changes in her stools. I guess I am just going to continue to give it to her in the mornings and see what happens. Thank You, Sheri mother to ASD/SCD 1-12-05 > ---Could it be yeast die off casuing the behavior? Guest guest
Sheri, I'm definitely not an expert, but I know that pre-scd, when I gave my daughter probiotics (it was a timy bit of bifidus), she had diarrhea 2 hours later. It was very clear she wasn't tolerating it. How do 's stools look? I know you've recently put her on SCD - is there anything new you're giving her for breakfast these past 4 days that she might not be tolerating? If you haven't changed anything else in her breakfast diet, I'd give the probiotics a rest for a few days to see if she's a happier kid. Then you can re-introduce them in another couple weeks and see if they have the same effect. They might just not jive with her system right now. Some kids have an easier time with probiotics in a food carrier (like yogurt). Mine certainly does. Good luck!! mom to asd daughter, 4, scd 10/26/04 > > > >> > >> Our Dan doctor had start on the probiotics yesterday. I > >> > > gave > >> her one in the morning about 30 minutes before breakfast. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, gets a Epsom salt bath every night, I really can't tell if they are doing anything though. We have been on the diet for about 2.5 weeks now but I can't tell if anything is changing. I'm getting a bit discouraged. The good news is that her mornings do seem to have leveled out. But like I said I can't really tell if it was the probiotics as her behavior is always on a roller coaster. Thanks for getting back to me. Thank You, Sheri mother to ASD/SCD 1-12-05 > Hi Sheri, > > >> Our Dan doctor had start on the probiotics yesterday. I >> > gave >> her one in the morning about 30 minutes before breakfast. Guest guest
Hi , stools were usually constipated, since starting the diet they are more " normal " looking. He behavior has leveled out some so it is hard to say what was causing it. Over all I don't see any changes in her to speak of since we started the diet. I am sure I am introducing foods to quickly, my family is having fits on me and I am trying my best to keep them happy and still keep them on this diet. I don't believe there have been any infractions but she is already eating (all legal i believe) Banana Apples (cooked) Peaches (cooked) some honey Nut butters and flour bacon ham chicken spices onion (cooked) garlic (cooked) egg I know this is a lot already but I just don't know what else I can do and still get them to eat. She did the intro diet for just shy of two days. Thank You, Sheri mother to ASD/SCD 1-12-05 > Sheri, > I'm definitely not an expert, but I know that pre-scd, when I gave > my daughter probiotics (it was a timy bit of bifidus), she had > diarrhea 2 hours later.
