Martha - the saga does continue!

It is time to get a legislator involved

She has the money, yet they won't set it up for her alone and then you have

to worry about the client history, but confidentiality says it can't be

shared? TBSS! Info must be shared when lack of disclosure can cause

potential harm to someone.

Have you contacted those groups I emailed about who help people with

disabilities buy their own homes and set up a therapeutic community around

them?

Kim,

I'm almost as red-faced as I am tired. No, I cannot find the links you

sent, though I haven't checked posts I saved to my CHARGE and

transition folders. Sorry, I'm just wiped out. If you have the patience,

please send them again. I promise to be as considerate when you need

me later! I have often told people on this list to contact their state folks,

but

I'm suddenly so sick of fighting. I don't think I really thought the federal

court of appeals (another thing I suddenly refuse to put in caps) would

end the battles, but god, I'm tired. Remember you young'uns to keep your

proverbial ducks in a row. Put your issues in folders and keep them!

There must be some other way, Kim. I guess I know there isn't. I'm off to

soak, get up early to meet the realtor, and see what happens. Our (state)

regional center people are coming in on a Saturday to deal with whatever

is happening. I just wish I knew what was going on. Again, this is our

daughter!

And I could go on and on.

Martha

Ellen,

I didn't think that anything or anyone could make me smile right now, but

you somehow managed. It's really hard because I believe that our

Regional Center people are truly trying to be helpful. It's just this _____

mother and whatever issues no one will tell us.

And now, I'm really going to soak.

Martha

I rather like the idea of a knife, but I think we'd all have to go together

as

a protest movement. Lord, how that dates me!
