Guest guest
I might not be able to talk for some time, not with all the DROOLING. Gods that sounds SO good!!! ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ -- update time We had some small snow flurries early this a.m. although the weather report isn't for snow until tonight, Monday and Tuesday. We are contrary folks in these parts and we just have to go against the "official" word from the National Weather Service (NOAA). lolLast night was better for me as far as my freezing issues. I slept in a robe and added an extra blanket and finally got warm again. MS has messed with my internal body thermostat and when I get cold I can't warm up easily. But then the summer heat messes with me, too. It's a tough thing to deal with but it could be way worse. We have a good stock of firewood in the house, a supply of food and we are ready for our big storm if it actually comes to pass!I really need to get in the kitchen and get the pork roast on the stove. We are having pork tacos tonight--one of our very favorite meals. The meat will be cooked slowly with green chilies, cumin, onions, garlic and a little water until the meat shreds off the bone. Then corn tortillas will be fried into taco shells. We serve it with shredded lettuce, limes and guacamole. Have a great day everyone! Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I have had snow since Monday. It has been snowing a little everyday since then. I am taking it easy right now. The snow is making it hard to get outside and walk or do anything. Have a great dinner. Margaret A. Guest guest
Lol you just reminded me...one time I was camping at a pow-wow, I was wearing leather, which is great against the wind but not really warm. It was cold, and I was out carousing till the wee hours...when I went to bed (in my tent, canvas walls, also not very warm), I covered myself with everything I could find (I think it was about 15* at the time) and I kept feeling this cool breeze behind me...looking, there were no holes in the covers, I was covered all the way...still the breeze...I finally realized ( you will love this) that my BUTT was SO cold it was generating it's own weather system!!!! ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ -- RE: update time It's 9 degrees right now, the sky, ground, air, everything is white.Weatherman says we won't see double digits again until maybe Thursday...Yay! Got the last of my current designs charted and off to my partnerin Kansas, ready for sale at a big event next weekend, so now I can stopstaring at this little screen so hard...Trying to choose between a grain pilaf or a pot of bean soup as thewarmest supper for tonight....( pork tacos sound EXCELLENT... just another20days of Advent....)Remembered I bought some leggings to wear under my church skirts andstuck them away in a drawer. Got them on now under my jeans - just enough"more warm". Gotta get a couple more pairs of these!!!DIdn't make church today, the water pump went blooey in the car andHimself has been since yesterday working on changing it - has bolts in aweird place, apparently.
