Guest guest
Hi there. I also have BU, but with no septum. My " dip " in the middle of my uterus is very severe and protrudes right down into my cervix (it is really like having 2 half-sized uterus'). I am almost 32 weeks and have been told from the beginning that I will be having a c-section. If your ob hasn't diagnosed your BU, how did you find out that you have it? Just curious. Lori vaginal septum hello there i have a heart shaped uterus but i really am wondering why my present ob hasnt diagnosed it yet, on top of that i have a vaginal septum. it was quite easy getting pregnant but now that im in my 34th week of pregnnacy im wondering how can i deliver a baby vaginally with my vaginal septum. any thoughts or opinions? " Hi I was diagnosed with BU (heart-shaped, pronouced septum) 7 years ago when I was also diagnosed with endo. When i fell pg with dd, I had scans at 8,14,20 and 32 weeks. I found it interesting that the techs picked this up on my 8 and 14 week scans but by my 20 week, I commented I had this abnormality and the tech looked suprised. He said he couldn't tell, and even seemed to doubt me. I asked my Ob why this was and he said that by 20 weeks or so the baby is getting bigger and stretching the uterus out. He did the 32 week scan and said he couldn't tell either, it was only for the records from 7years ago from the same Ob practice (different Ob) that he believed me!! As for if you can deliver vaginally.. I'm not a doctor. But I do know my forced c/s was as a result of complete breech pres, not my septum. My best friend also has BU with pronounced septum, and has carried 2 children to full term with vaginal birth. Like me, she can't have big babies, though, as there's not a lot of room. You should be fine, just make sure staff are aware of your condition and you are clear you want to labor. I wish you good luck for the remainder of the pg and the birth.
