Sorry, I just googled all over the place and turned up something that

supported what my cardio said. No idea where it was. He was adamant

(sp?) that it just applied to appropriate age/no risk factors/lone

afib people, however.

Just to add another personal data point to this thread. I just saw my

EP today to follow up my Echo and Holter. They came back NORMAL. No

enlargement, no thickening, no CAD, valves good, etc. Completely

normal. I was soooooooooooooo thrilled. (As thrilled as anyone can be

with parox afib!!!)

His rule of thumb was if my HR was under 180, if I was comfortable

(not dizzy, etc), I could sit around for about 4 hours to see if I

self converted. After that, he said he'd want me to go to ER in hopes

of bumping me out of afib.

Yes, I hear this concern. With my mother having had a really bad

hemmorhage on Coumadin, however, I am happy not to be taking it.
