It's pretty unusual, and I'm not sure what the purpose is.

Assuming you'll be having an RAI treatment (or at the very least, RAI scan),

you'll need to be off all meds.

I'd want to know what the surgeon has in mind. The only likely explanation I

can think of is that the staff did it automatically, assuming that this was a

non cancer situation.
