Guest guest
, I don't believe It would be illegal to sell hearing aids unless you were representing yourself as a licensed professional, which you are not. (If there are laws regarding this, I would imagine they vary from state-to-state.) Your audi should know. However, if you have a good relationship with your audi or Children's Hospital, they may even help you find a family with no insurance coverage who would benefit from the discounted price. Or perhaps a local Community Service organization like Lions Club would also like to buy them for someone they are helping. Whoever used these items would still need to see an audiologist or other professional for fittings, earmolds, settings, etc.--you are just providing the hardware. It is possible to buy an FM system online from various suppliers without a " prescription " so that should be fine to sell I actually discussed this with my audi, because I could have saved a few hundred dollars, but the caveat is that I would then have been charged for all fittings and adjustments instead of that being included in the price so I went through our Children's Hospital. Guest guest
, I see people selling hearing aids on EBAY all the time. I know you are not supposed to sell CI stuff because it is an FDA regulated medical device. At least that is what Cochlear Corp told someone recently. I would check with the company about transfer of the warranty if you do sell them, that may not be transferable. Elaine
