Wellllllllll...for most other people....especially people who feel they are

''trying'' but not losing...I totally recommend journaling if for no other

reason than to find the hidden calories that may be hindering their efforts.

Also..when youre first starting it can be a great tool to gauge how many

calories

youre already eating and seeing where you can most easily make the ''cuts''. It

really is a great tool for those who can keep up with it.

Other people find it comforting to be accountable if only to themselves.

Myself personally I just cant do it. The fewer ''have to's'' for me ..the better

lol. I know I have to pay attention to what and how much Im eating...and more

importantly I KNOW I have to exercise and MUST drink water water water

everyday. Writing it all down would seem to me (and just to me!! I am not not

NOT

discouraging anyone else from this!!) like a chore and the ever defiant part of

me

would rebel against it almost before I started LOL!!! But if you enjoy

recordkeeping and its important to you to see not just what youre eating but how

much and WHY (alot of people record their feelings too which is a great idea too

especially for compulsive overeaters) I totally think journaling is a great

way to go!!
