1st, isn't " Dr " Atkins DEAD now?

When I was studying biology and anatomy along with my paramedic texts

(yep, on a diet back then too) - I came up with a plan. It was THE

plan. (this is many years before the Atkins diet btw).

I was so excited - I had found a way to begin burning fat within 24

hours. I figured I could zap the fat off and be done with it. So I

called the 24 hour nurses hot line (I was too excited not to tell

someone, even i it was a stranger...LMAO...it was 3am)

Anyway, the basic thing was that with no carbs or protien yada, yada,

yada - body eats fat, yada, yada, yada. The nurse told me I was

right, I had indeed come up with a great fat zapping plan - but that

it would probably kill me in a short period of time. She said unless

suprvised by a doctor (IN hospital where you can be continualy tested

for kenosis(?) ect - it's basicaly suicide).

The jist of what I finaly figured out after all these years...

To burn calories, to function properly the body needs carbs, protien

and fat. Carbs (which you can only store 500 calories of anyway) HAS

to come from food. Protien HAS to come from food or the proper amino

acid chains (it can be suplimented but why not eat it since it take

calories to break it down anyway). Fat can come from food or the

bodies storage. There are a few essencial fatty acids that have to

come from food or supliment form though.

The main goal should be to get your body in proper order. Get it

running properly so it can help you get rid of the fat. I honestly

don't believe for 1 minute that our bodies are made to carry so

much " stored energy " . Yes - it does have the fat cell as a safty

feature, but we are made to carry SOME fat, not alot. So, my

thought - figure out why our body is over stocking on the fat. Fix

it, and watch the fat fall off. That's pretty much my plan and so

far it's worked 74 pounds worth.
