Guest guest
Hi , it's me . I am starting to get nervous about my GB surgery on Tuesday! I can't help but think this is not the answer. My hubby and my folks think I will be 'a new woman'!!! I feel that they are wrong! Everything I read and know about this CP I am sure it is that! I realize this is the first step especially since I have never had any levels elevated. I trust Dr. Lehman but even his percentages aren't very encouraging!(35 to55%) These are the percentages he gave that he thinks it will help! My surgeon thinks about the same. How long of a recovery period should I expect? I am hoping a week only. Is that about right? He is doing it through the scope. He would only do the large cut if I have too much scarring in the ducts. Please pray he wouldn't have to do that. They changed the surgery time from 2:00 to 2:45! Yuk! Even though I don't eat much these days that is a long time w/o food or water! I guess I can have jello before 8:00 am but still!! Sorry, I seem to be whinning! I do hope you are feeling Ok. Take care, all for now, God Bless, ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Guest guest
Hi Amy, I was not able to close my lips naturally right away with the swelling. I had similar doubts post-op about whether or not this would change. I think you'll need to be more patient (don't you hate that word?) - it's really dependent on the swelling around the lips, nose and chin, and that takes time to go away. I don't remember exactly when it happened, but one morning I woke up and my lips were tightly sealed shut! I was afraid I would not be able to breathe going to sleep the next night. Your muscles are also probably not used to holding your jaw in place. I know that I felt more comfortable with my jaws relaxed pre-op, even though that tended to give me a bit of a doofus look. It's a hard habit to break. I would definitely put this on the list of questions for your surgeon at your next visit. I was too intimidated to ask about it, and secretly hoping that things would change, which they did eventually.

Guest guest
Hi , Well I guess if AF decides to visit me this month there is nothing I can do. My doctor told me to try three cycles and if we couldn't get pg on our own we should try IUI again. However, I already tried it twice and did not work out for me therefore my DH and I have decided that we will try the three month trial period and three months after that. If nothing happens after a total period of 6 months we'll go for IVF. My insurance does not cover it so we have to save up some money. We have waited 9 years. I don't think a few months is going to make a difference. Let us know how you do on your appointment tomorrow. Good Luck, Patty 34, SU Resected 2x 9/96 & 6/04 Never been PG TTC Again
