Guest guest
I wouldnt feel to bad about useing her as an excuse. I know when bill collectors call I tell them how I have a new baby with many medical problems and no job. 1 of my credit card companies stopped calling and they wiped out the amount I owe...LOL! I know because we sent them a check and they sent it back!! WOW! I also got a really cute balloon for Eva on Ebay and told her how happy I was to find the balloon she was selling (its ballerina teddy bears) and how I am so excited about Eva 1st birthday because a year ago they told me my baby would die. Well I get the package in the mail and she sent me 2 balloons for the price of one and she told me how her baby was also in the NICU when he was born. Its so great when people understand and try to help you however they can. Take it as an angel here on earth and a blessing. I know I do!! Guest guest
Naw, you aren't crackers! I think we're mostly survivors, and you did so beautifully. Mind you, I'm now waiting for my machine to explode... and I'm darn sick of being paranoid! Martha

Guest guest
Lesley, Now every time I see a commercial for Dyson on TV, I cannot help but smile, thinking of your posts. Thanks for sharing and bringing a little humor all the way across the pond! Kate (PT in NY)
Guest guest
You know, my youngest son has an obsession with vacuums. He loves the Dyson as well. Ever since we went to Lowe's (home improvement store) and he saw a special that they were having: If you buy a regular sized Dyson, you got a child-sized Dyson free. He is only three, yet speaks endlessly about this vacuum. When a woman recently overheard his plead for a Dyson, she said " my, doesn't he have discriminating taste??!! " . He is beginning to worry me: last week he pushed my Bissel down the stairs and stood at the stop staring at it like some crazed psychopath. When I asked him what his problem was, he said " It's not a Dyson! " . Let's hope the Easter Bunny brings me a Dyson in my basket before I have to resort to Lesley's alternate cleaning methods!
