Would it be advisable to go up on HC?

I can't always take temps as I work during the week from 1-6 in an

air-conditioned store. It makes taking temps hard to say the least. I'm on 100

mcg. cynomel and want to make sure my adrenals are well supported during this

increase stage. What do you think? Add another 5 mg. to my third dose at

around 5 o'clock? That would put me at 35 mg. per day.

Thanks! Alayna

Can't say without some information. An air conditioned room shouldn't

affect your core temperature, readings will still be relevant looking

for stability from day to say.

Nick,

Do you mean I should just be able to take my temp even if I'm cold and my feet

and hands are cold by being in this air-conditioned environment. If that's the

case, I'm way hypo because my temps would be soooo low if I took them feeling

like that.

When my hands and feet are cold (especially my feet), I can be rest assured that

my temp will be pretty darn low. Not trying to be a smarty pants at all but if

I was playing in the snow, nose dripping and red cheeks and then took my temp,

would that still be a fair and accurate core temperature reading??

It's hard to take my temps three times a day when your busy but I don't think it

would hurt me to take more HC correct?

Thanks so much,

Alayna

Your body regulates temperature and your core temperature should be

constant. Oral temperatures should be steady regardless of ambient

temperature.

Don't take it just after strenuous excercise or hot/cold drinks but

apart from that it should be pretty constant.

I can't say. It depends what symptoms you are getting.

OK Nick so if your temps go down with being in cold weather or in an

air-conditioned environment what does that mean? More HC? Mine are definitely

affected by cold.

First make sure it is temperature dropping and not just the

thermometer being cold and cooling your mouth. Move it from one side

of your mouth to the other half way through taking temperature.

Otherwise it's either more HC or more T3 needed. If temperature drops

within 30 mins of taking T3 then it's probably lack of HC.

If it's not affected by the dose of T3 then maybe more T3, what's your

pulse rate??

Is the HC everyone speaks of taking an OTC medication or prescription? If it is OTC, could you give me more info.

Thanks,

Beth S.

Nick,

I still can't get stable temps so should I go up on the HC and if so how much?

I currently take 10, 10, 5 and 5. Should I go up 2.5 or another 5 and if so,

the 3rd dose which I take about 4pm?

Thanks Nick,
