Nick, you can only take 25? Are you on hc? I take 37.5 each dose. What happens when you take more?>I am inching up- at about 150mcg now- seems best if a multi doese every 2-3 hours- especially since the amount keeps getting bigger- I dont want my body to have to deal with more than say 50mcg at any one time.>>50mcg seems good for the 1st dose- as my cortisol is highest then. You can tolerate more than me then, I single dosed on 25mcg tablets.I still can't take more than 25 at a time.If the iodine works for you then go for itNick-- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com------------------------------------

Hi Bonnie?

Same here!

I think I also look young (despite my hair beeing very grey!), and " healthy " . I

also eat very healthy food (except when I get too depressed to cook or care

about anything).

As soon as I have the time to do it (very bussy with work at the moment) I will

try to figure out as much as I can about preganacy and T3 and T4. I am a

biologist and a scientist by profesion so I'll try my best to understand. I will

come back here with everything I learn.

I am taking 3 grains of Armour and, although I still feel hypo, last cycle was

my first in many years in which I didn't bleed during the luteal phase (I mean

before the period), so I am a bit optimistic.

I don't want to have an IVF either, I believe that my body doesn't get pregnant

for a reason: I go through live with great difficulty myself (since I was 16) so

it is likely that my body just can't cope with a pregnancy.

Is is really nice to share all this with someone who is going through similar

experiences!!!

Hi :

Speaking of GREY hair- me too- except I died it for a long time- then when the

upkeep was too much- went BLEACH BLONDE- so upkeep is a snap- and when I have

brain fog- I can blame it on being a blonde :)

I have read studies that link low dhea to eary greying hair....

Low dhea would indicate - I would deduce- accelerated aging ....

Glad to meet a SCIENTIST!!! YEA!!!

I am a fitness professional- so I have certainly met and worked with my share of

women with a multitude of hormone disorders.

I felt that I had great luck helping everyone else BUT ME...

If you have the NEWER armour- many people have been unhappy with it- maybe try

ERFA? Maybe up the dosoe or think about adding T3 to it?

I'm sure you have contemplated those things already....:)

I have early grey hair(my mom too) and very low dhea. Unfortunantly when I take dhea it causes bad estrogen dominence. Im thinking of trying homeopathic dhea.

I was pretty well, I think I did take 50 at a time on some doses,

can't remember, it was August and I've been very busy since then.

I count out the days worth into a bottle and carry it rounnd with me,

then I know how many I have taken that day and hence if I have taken

or missed a dose

>Nick, you can only take 25? Are you on hc? I take 37.5 each dose. What happens

when you take more?

Not on HC, temperature drops if I take 50 at a dose (ie cortisol

slump). I've not tried 37.5

I have been trying out NUTRICOLOGY's Adrenal Cortex- plus also using licorice...

not really sure if either of them are great....

Hi!

I had some grey hair since my early twenties but it was not really noticeable. I

strated to get VERY grey at 30 in a very stressful period of my life when I was

finishing my PhD. I lost a lot of hair as well and the little that was left was

grey and dry like straw. A wonderful experience. I didn't know I had thyroid

problems then.

I read somewhere in the net a connection between early graying, dyslexia and a

hereditary predisposition to thyroid problems. I have the three of them, Am I

not the luky one?

I have died my hair before but I don't really like it because it only looks good

the first two weeks and you have to be in the hairdresser much too often.

Anyhow, I am trying to have the " I-age-with-dignity " look. It works for me as

long as I don't see myself in a photograph!

Regarding Dhea, I remeber there was a contradiction between the results in the

24 urine test (normal or even high) and the saliva test (somewhat low). In any

case when I strated supplementing cortisol (30 mg), my doctor put me also on 15

mg? DHEA.

I am still on the old Armour, but my labs don't look good: Ft3 is above range

and FT4 at the top of the range. I will have the rT3 results next week...

I was put on DHEA by every doctor I saw- I am taking 7-Keto now- but was

surprised to read either HERE or in the Adrenals group that

DHEA lowers your cortisol???

So that would be counter intuitive I would think - but doctors seems to be all

over it- probably because it's cheap and easy to get - no script required.

In all the years (ok -3) that I have taken it- my DHEA LEVELS always remained

low anyway.

I have taken my fair share- ok maybe more than my share of supps- and I have

begun to realize nothing really is that great - unless you get your hormones in

line I suppose...
