Guest guest
<< If you have a doctor that keeps brushing you off, it's time to find another doctor! I've done this 4 or 5 times. What good are they if they aren't helping you!? And they sure as heck don't deserve getting paid for doing nothing! Rhonda >> I dropped three doctors at my HMO before I got the (female, I might add) doctor that I actually felt comfortable with and patiently answered my questions. Two of the other doctors (one was a woman) barely examined or even touched me and one acted like I was making everything up to get drugs. The last one talked to me like I was a stupid child and was much more interested in talking to my boyfriend about his sister's scleroderma (which he apparently treated) and said to me, " Now, THAT'S a REAL disease! " Bastard! I called my HMO and INSISTED on seeing someone else. You have to be assertive until you get what you want. Peace, bella! < lll }:*>~ < lll " My name is peace This is my hour Can I get just a little bit of power? " Red Hot Chili Peppers

Guest guest
Some times it takes a few tries to get the right doctor. One that will actually listen and not tell you " it's all in your head! " I told a doctor that said it was " all in my head, " to F & *K O$%! I have had a doctor tell me, in so many words, that I was just looking for drugs. I told him to F & *K O$% too! I'm not afraid to let them have it when they deserve it! You are in a battle for your life. You have to be assertive, it's your life you are fighting for. If you do not like the treatment your doctor is giving you, find another one. If that one isn't doing the job, find yet another one. Yes, it's a pain in the ass, but you have to do it for you. There is adequate care out there, you just have to find it. Don't settle for 2nd rate care, you deserve better.
