Guest guest
I don't know how many of you caught Oprah yesterday, but she was discussing Amina Lawal, the young woman from Nigeria who was sentenced to death by stoning for having a child out of wedlock. Her death is being postponed until she is finished breastfeeding her child. When she is put to death she will be buried up to her neck so that she cannot shield herself from the stones. That this can continue is an abomination and the ultimate degradation of human life. I am asking you all to please consider joining in Amnesty International's letter writing campaign to help save the life of Amina Lawal. It only takes a moment to sign a letter online at the Oprah.com website. To read more about her story: http://www.oprah.com/tows/pastshows/tows_2002/tows_past_20021004_b.jhtml There is a link at the bottom of the page in a yellow box that says 'send an e-mail now' Thanks for reading.
