Guest guest
Becky, I' not coming up with the first one, unless he is trying to do a titer and saying something like one slash 28, although I am thinking that if it is a titer it would be 1:128. With that said though, it would be histoplasma serology (rather than cyrology) and in this case it is complement rather than compliment. I believe the second one would be neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The third could be she may need resection. Hope some of this helps, Margaret >>> " " 01/14/03 09:14PM >>> Hi everybody, I am working on a report here and am having trouble understanding some of the words. I'm hoping someone can help. She also has had a histoplasma cyrology done which shows a low positive histoplasma cyrology at " s/l one S28 " for the yeast antigen compliment fixation antibody. If there is evidence of cancer, she would really be rated at Stage 3b and may be inoperable and may need " s/l O'Neil " adjuvent chemotherapy. If the initial mediastenoscopy is inconclusive, she may been " s/l regitisection " of the right lobe nodule. These are three separate parts in the report. Hope someone can help. Thanks, Becky

Guest guest
s/l reticulus would probably be reticulytes (reticulyte count) could " sycom " be sycoma? fairton level might be ferretin? Stedman's Pathology and Lab Medicine Words gives ferretin assay. I just looked up a few that I thought were familiar.... the others, CBC, UA, CMP- I usually type this one out, not sure what anyone else does. Sed rate is sedimentation rate, but they usually say sed rate, and that's what i've been typing. Not sure what MedQuist's rule would be. Carol in NC Question Hello all, Doctor is doing a complete workup to check for anemia. He will be doing the following procedures: CBC, CMP, s/l reticulus, sycom, peripheral smeal, fairton level, epil level, sed rate, S-pap and a UA. I am not sure if I have these right. I am having trouble finding some of them. If anyone sees anyone that I have wrong, please let me know. Thanks, Becky

Guest guest
Becky, I don't know if you still need anything on this. It looks like goniometer is in there - an instrument for measuring angles - it could be 'aid of a goniometer'. Ken Question Passive range of motion is measured in the supine position with " s/l aid obgoneometer " . Any suggestion!!
