Guest guest
I've been wondering about that too a bit... more since I mentioned my own dosing schedule.. that the T3 all in one shot is causing too much of a surge... then it all falls back off with insufficient conversion..... Guest guest
Kats3boys You are correct............. he takes the Armour, all 60 in the morning........ so maybe he would convert to 30 in the am, and 30 when he gets home from work? Guest guest
Hi .......... The early incidents only happened about 3 times a year and seemed so much more physical then mental (sweats, shakes, flushing)......... He has always been very responsible and completed everything he's ever started, so it doesn't really sound like Bipolar. The Buspar seems to have taken the edge off, he's much more rational and able to discuss his irritation. Thanks for your thoughts,

Some people do well taking there medication all at once, when it comes to T3 meds or Armour a lot of others do better splitting the dose. T4 has a 1/2 life of 7 days..T3 meds have a half life of only a few hours.. depending on how well his body uses T3 and converts it from T4 he maybe using up all his T3 all at once. I am betting giving him 30 in the morning and 30 in the evening may leave him droggy come lunch time..and it may leave him awake at night.. If this is the case then he should be able to increase his Armour to 90 but take 45 am and 45 mid afternoon..although I would stay on the 60 for now and split it and then have him slowly increase it. A lot on Armour multidose or split the dose during the day. hopefuly they can chime in and let you know what thier schedule is like so you get an idea of the variables..but I am betting this will help him get a more even level.. Guest guest
It would still be worthwhile to have his adrenals checked. Hope you do so. Cody Re: My Husband Hi .......... Guest guest
Why not try 30 in the am and 30 when he gets home and see what happens? If he is better for a few hours then gets worse again before the next dose after work, break it into quarters, and go 15 four times a day. Play around with it some, give him a few days at each different trial, and see if it makes a difference. If he feels great doing the 30's but then it wanes off too fast, but the 15's aren't quite enough for him, then you'd want to increase the dose so that he has the amounts he needs the number of times a day that he needs them. Kats3boys You are correct............. he takes the Armour, all 60 in the morning........ so maybe he would convert to 30 in the am, and 30 when he gets home from work? Guest guest
Oh, and I remembered seeing somewhere that some people tend to need more at certain times of day, so for example, he might take a half of a pill at one point in the day, and the other two quarters at the other two points in the day, making it 3x a day instead of 2 or 4. Like I said, play with it and see, you're trying to mimic what a normal body would be doing, and that fluctuates throughout the day.
