We just returned from a follow up visit with our team. We now have a

second clear EEG in our possession!! We are going to relax the diet

very slowly by adding more calories and increase protein now. This

is for growth reasons, too. We will add more calories in a month or

so. Next step is to decrease our ratio to 2.5 for 2-3 months, with

perhaps a second drop to 2.0. If all is well we will transition to

Atkins during in the summer. That will mean we will only have to

count carbs... and no scale!!

I can hardly believe it. I'm excited and a little bit scared at the

same time. Our team thinks we will do fine--that's good enough for

me. So, I will be watching carefully what all you Atkins folks are

doing so I can know more of what to look forward to. I tried the

Atkins diet about 2 years ago and didn't stick to it. I'm too much

of a carb addict. However, after not eating much carb in front of my

dd, maybe I'll have to give it another go. My husband's idea is for

ALL of us to do Atkins. Ann, are you out there?????
