Guest guest
Hi I do have success stories to share. I'm BU and SU with a full length septum, we're working with drs and I hopefully will be resected before the first of the new year. Anyways my daughter was born at 38 weeks, breech, by c-section. I did struggle with pre term labor but after some bed rest she was fine. My son on the other hand was very stressful and upsetting. At the time we weren't aware of how messed up my uterus was and so we probably didn't take precautions. Anyways my membraines ruptured prematuraly at 29 weeks 6 days. He was born on my 30 weeks mark, 10 weeks premature at 3 lbs 7 oz. He lived in the NICU for 7 weeks and it was really hard. I didn't feel like a mom to either baby, going back and from the hospital. SO that's my reasoning behind searching out what I have and what we can do about it. I would encourage you to do all you can. Because even though my kids are great and fine there were some very scary moments that I wouldn't want anyone to go through. Wish you luck!!!! SU/BU resection before fist of the year? dd 8/14/01 ds 5/6/03 10 weeks premature
Guest guest
Hi - I am fairly new to this group and I wanted to share some of my story with you thinking it might help you. I too have a large uterine septum extending further than initially thought, down to my cervix. It is very thick. It was discovered during a pregnancy which I subsequently lost in my second trimester. I know it helps to hear positive stories but you should also get all the facts you can. My question to you is have you seen a doctor specializing in reproductive endocrinology? It seems most of the women on this board have. These " RE's " specialize in reproductive surgeries. I have consulted two and have surgery planned on 11/1 to have the septum removed. I think it is important to see someone who has seen and resected alot of septums at least just to get an opinion. My RE did not seem phased by the size of my septum and told me he has resected septums that extended vaginally as well. Hope this helps you. 30 SU > > I just need to share my story with someone and hopefully i can hear > some positive stories of yours to help make me feel a bit more > positive as things are really getting me down at the moment > > Well to try and keep things short i had been ttc for 1yr when i fell > preg in Nov 2003. Guest guest
That is what I would suggest as well. See an RE. I just had my septum removed on 10/5. Mine was not too large though. But I have an awesome RE who specializes in this type of surgery.
