There's a site you might want to check out: www.INCIID.org It's an excellent resource for fertility related issues. Of course, it's not geared to WLSers, but, the information is still wonderful. It was helpful to go on their ttc boards when I was going throught the fertility Tx treadmill. I got pg again in Oct, but m/c in Nov due to a blighted ovum. The sad truth is is that most docs don't want to investigate until you have had 3 or more. I DEMANDED testing after the 2nd because after reading and researching I knew that there are conditions that will continue to cause m/c if left untreated. At the very least, I wanted to feel as if I was doing something constructive. I had the blood work, an endometrial biopsy and an HSG (dye through the tubes). Everything came back normal. Hubby even had a sperm analysis, again normal. After 3 months had passed since the testing, I still had not conceived...this was unusual for me since each previous pg was on the first try. My RE suggested Clomid. I started at 50 mg which did nothing. The next month I went to 100 mg which made me ovulate earlier than my usual day 26. The second month on 100 mg did the trick and I am 8 weeks pg. I am praying so hard that this one is a keeper. I have had a really scary weekend and will have an u/s first thing in the morning. Guest guest
Debbie, Good I am GLAD you gave it to them. I am REALLY not against doctors lol but it seems lately that a few of you have had issues with doctors just not wanting to do their jobs, and that really makes me angry. I am glad you have dealt with them. Stay on top of it and you will feel so much better! I saw your pictures, I am glad that you got to have a nice day in the middle of all the crap youve been going through. Try to keep your chin up! Take care! Marcy Wedding picture If anyone wants to see what I looked like on my wedding night, I have a couple of pictures that someone took. I'll post them. They may be the only pictures I ever get to post. I'm not having a good day...nor a good weekend. Debbie
Guest guest
I don't think any pregnancy after a miscarriage is a content pregnancy because that fear is always there. They didn't even want me to do collection on anything so that they could find out. Unfortunately, I'm 43 and I don't have time to " play doctor " with them if I want to conceive so I'm not playing by their rules anymore. It's MY rules. Guest guest
I understand that completely Debbie. My miscarriage was in 1992, and I've had a daughter since then, but STILL worried the first trimester with this one. I bled the whole 3 months. Yes it is nerve racking. And you probably wont feel too comfortable until the 2nd trimester or later. It's really heartbreaking, I know, but I hope you hang in there, and DEMAND THOSE TESTS!!!!! Sounds like you already gave them an earful, I was so happy to hear that! Take Care!
