Guest guest
Lucee, Good luck with the sleep problems! I suffer from sleep apnea as well as chronic insomnia, and I know how debilitating it can be to never get a decent night's sleep. I had my first overnight sleep study early last year, and it was determined that between the apnea and insomnia, I wake up 20 times an hour (although I am not consciously aware of all those arousals, of course). With the help of medication and a CPAP machine, I am now getting almost 4 solid hours of sleep before my insomnia starts waking me up. It is still not a lot, but is a huge improvement for me. Now I have a little more energy to try and concentrate on losing the weight, which the doc says will help even more with both conditions. I hope your doc can help you resolve these issues. You said she " thinks " you have sleep apnea... has she scheduled you for a sleep study to find out for sure? Mine was very helpful, and helped them determine that my problem was not just sleep apnea, but spontaneous insomnia arousals as well.
