Lucee,

Good luck with the sleep problems! I suffer from sleep apnea as well as

chronic insomnia, and I know how debilitating it can be to never get a

decent night's sleep. I had my first overnight sleep study early last year,

and it was determined that between the apnea and insomnia, I wake up 20

times an hour (although I am not consciously aware of all those arousals, of

course). With the help of medication and a CPAP machine, I am now getting

almost 4 solid hours of sleep before my insomnia starts waking me up. It is

still not a lot, but is a huge improvement for me. Now I have a little more

energy to try and concentrate on losing the weight, which the doc says will

help even more with both conditions.

I hope your doc can help you resolve these issues. You said she " thinks " you

have sleep apnea... has she scheduled you for a sleep study to find out for

sure? Mine was very helpful, and helped them determine that my problem was

not just sleep apnea, but spontaneous insomnia arousals as well.

longer (that and the fact of waking up every hour is driving me batty!)
