Guest guest
Hi, I recently made a big batch of SCD yogurt and forgot to put it in the refrigerator after a 24-hour incubation period (it was left in an enclosed dehydrator, which was turned off). The yogurt was left there unrefrigerated for 15 hours. Is it still safe to eat or should I throw it out? It doesn't look or smell spoiled. Many thanks, , scd 1.5 years CD
Guest guest
Hi , At least some of the bacteria are likely to have died. It is probably not spoiled but will spoil faster if left unrefrigerated any longer. You can use it in baking or to make frozen yogurt. There may be some probiotic effect left in it but it likely won't last the three weeks that regular refrigerated yogurt does.
