Guest guest
Today I am keeping track of times that I eat, how hungry I feel during the day and so forth. I have a question particularly for the long-time practicers of IE. I welcome newbie's responses as well, as I myself am considering myself fairly new to this process, although digesting the information for over a year now. How much time passes after you eat until you notice you want to (and do) eat again when you have a choice? By that I mean when you make your own schedule, you are not at someone else's schedule, etc., at work, and so forth. How much time after you eat elapses until you feel hunger signals again? Guest guest
Tai, As you may have read in one of my posts, I have taken the clock off the wall because I was eating by what time it was vs. when I was hungry. It's an experiment for me also to see if I know what hunger feels like. Saturday when I went to the Museum with grandson and daughter, I noticed I was feeling " ill " . It was kind of scary but I thought maybe it's time to eat. After we had lunch I did feel better. Usually I feel my tummy growl. My grandson says his tummy is telling he's hungry. On the way home we were just about 10 minutes and he really complained about being hungry. I've never heard him do that but at school they feed him a big lunch and sometimes he has seconds. Besides at the museum he was running all around excited. As for me I do not know how long. It varies. I used to eat every 2 hours because I felt like my blood sugar was dropping. Right now I prefer to not notice how long. But I think your idea is a good one too. Sandy Today I am keeping track of times that I eat, how hungry I feel during the day and so forth. Guest guest
Tai, I have only been practicing IE for a month. For me, it varies dramatically, but I haven't felt hunger sooner than 3 hours and it has taken as long as 17 hours after a large meal. I don't think other people's data will help much though, as it all depends on our own body signals. I do hope that the folks who have been at this a long time can say they have developed a bit of a daily pattern, though, because I SO long to be able to eat dinner with my family routinely eventually.
