Guest guest
Several days ago I posted to this list about a problems that I was having with Edgecliff Village EMS on a pay issue. I would like to re-post that this matter has been resolved. Both I and the EMS Director for this service had a civil conversation on the phone for about 30 minutes, and we both came to agree that there was a break down in communications, on both our parts. Had I handled this situation the right way, we would have come to a conclusion sooner, and without all of the stress caused on all parties involved. We agreed that since the EMS profession is such a small close knit group, that we should settle this matter in a professional manner, which is what we did. We both agreed that at some point in time, we are going to have to work together again, and that there should be no hard feelings. Therefore, let this serve as an apology to all of the people involved in this matter. This matter should not have been posted to this list, but as with most people, the more that we sit and think about something, the madder we get, and think of ways to get back at the pople that caused the problem. After talking with the EMS Director about the service, I can say that the EMS Director is doing more than collecting a check. Granted, I will probably never work for this service again, but I can say that the quality of the patient care is great and was NEVER an issue, just management at the time. But, again, after a civil converstation the EMS Director is truly working to make the service te best that it can be for such a small town.
