Guest guest
I wish we lived closer together we could do alot together to get awareness out there!! Feel free to email me I would love to work with you on something like this!! Crystal and Eva (11 1/2 month charger) > > " I think we need to get more info out there about this!! I think we could come up with something at least that flashy. I was thinking maybe a ribbon that is a little shorter on one side (to symbolize the asymmetry), and maybe striped pink and blue (because boys and girls are affected equally, and also to stand for the heart defects (pink) and choanal atresia (blue) that affect so many CHARGE kids. > > What do you all think? > > (mom to Evan 8.5 mos) > > > > > > --------------------------------- > New Yahoo! Guest guest
This idea has been toyed with for awhile - I think it's a great one - even the CHARGE syndrome Foundation pins that they had at the last conference mass produced would be great! > > " I think we need to get more info out there about this!! Guest guest
I like the idea of the ribbon specialy it being assymetrical. I though pink was for breast cancer though. Well some colour combination would be good though! Maby a darker shade of pink then the pail pink, what do you think? A nice deep pink with indigo blue? (um im kinda thinking the cotton candy colour or bubble gum icecream if you want an idea of the pink and blue im thinking about) Those are good colours Chantelle

Guest guest
OK guys, I like the idea of the pin and all but we have to be careful. The CHARGE Foundation logo and things bought and sold with it's name on it has to be passed before the board. But now hold on, through the Board meeting we had great discussion and planning by all about fundraising and awareness and how each and every parent can do this for their children, and all children everywhere. Dennis O'Toole is getting plans and things together for just this. For those of you who don't know he is a parent of a daughter who has CHARGE, is the Foundation Board Secretary and is the Chair of the Fundraising committee. Please wait just a bit and when the time comes all of you will be needed to do your part in raising awareness and fundraising at the same time. Love you energy here everyone. That's why you are all the best! Bonnie, Mom to a 23, Patty CHARGE 21, and wife to

Guest guest
Bonnie, I don't think anyone was going ahead with anything to use the CHARGE Foundation board & logo - people were just tossing about ideas about what a CHARGE ribbon might look like, etc. I suggested that I thought the pins from the foundation would be great as is and I actually mentioned asked Kim (thought she was on the board) if she knew of anyone on the board that might be pursuing something like this, because I don't think many on the board read the listserv that much. > > OK guys, I like the idea of the pin and all but we have to be > careful. Guest guest
, I hope I didn't upset you (or anyone else). That certainly wasn't my intention. Actually I was just so incredibly happy with the passion everyone has here. I know they were just looking at the ribbon but the board has really come together and we have tons of plans going on. We just need to finalize them to get things going. I was just saying hold tight, here come great things! I'm sorry but I thought you knew that I am on the CHARGE Foundation Board. I am also the chair of the Adult Services Committee. And I am on this list almost every single day! -That's my OCD. Actually the truth is this list is my lifeline. There are others on the board who read the list often such as Marilyn, Susie, n and Meg. What I was saying is that there are things happening that the board is working on and with the spirit and energy of everyone involved here we could all do great things------ together! You see, the board has the dream and the passion of bringing it to those who matter the most that's the families and more importantly our children!
