Guest guest
Why in the world were you told to go off meds until the Armour came.. there is no reason to do that.... What dose of T4 were you on and what is the starting dose of the Armour? You should be able to quite easily take a T4 one day and an Armour the next... stopping in between is going to deplete your T4 reserves and make you crash after you take the Armour... and then, well, are they gonna say that it was because of the Armour??? I also recently got told I have an enlarged heart and so when I told the Dr about the shivers she said oh but you have been anxious since I told you about your heart!! Beat that!!!! So that is how I suddenly became an anxious person, nice to know!!!:-))) My hands are frozen now as I type, I need an electric blanket on in bed, and after a while I begin to get too hot and have to hang my legs out of the bed, can't win!!:-)) Good thing is at least now I know it can be a thyroid thing, bugger the Doctor!!!!!!!!!:-))))) Celia

When I switched from 100 mcg Synthroid to 1 grain of Armour, I did the switch the next day, no break in between. Now that I've educated my doc some, he saw that the lab work wasn't where it needed to be and I'm up to 2 grains of Armour (I'm actually taking 2.25 grains right now because he wouldn't up my dose from my last labs because they were just about smack in the middle of range). I still had some refills on my 1 grain tabs, so I just refilled it and got a pill splitter and quartered the tabs. I'm not as proficient a pill splitter as our Topper. ) Kathy >^,,^< KitzCat146@... http://www.chaytongroup.com/modernbill/order/index.php?aid=ka081104 http://www.heartwarmers4u.com/members/?kitzcat kitzcat2001 on Yahoo Messenger kitzcat on MSN Messenger In a cat's eyes, all things belong to cats. - English Proverb __________________________________ Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi Celia, These shivers are making me wonder, in addition to your taking Thyroid meds, what else, medicine wise, are you taking??? How much coffee and/or tea are you drinking daily? How much alcohol are you consuming daily? beer, wine, mixed drink, hard alcohols...etc.... Are you taking anything to support your Adrenal glands? Are you taking any Complex B vitamins? Including but not limited to Folic acid? Any Iron supplements? Any Selenium supplements? Any vitamin complexes? Any Essential Oil capsules? How much sleep are you getting at night? How much Water are you drinking? Just plain water, nothing, no flavorings added. How much sugar are you consuming? Table sugar, corn syrup, fructose, dextrose, artificial Splenda??? (any of these are considered sugar by the body.) How many meals are you eating a day? How many calories? This is a start...to the questions..and possible causes... Gossimer > > Can anyone tell me if they get these strange symptoms I have been getting. Usually towards evening I start to feel very cold, then the shivering starts,I feel terrible, I take my temp which is always subnormal yet my body feels hot.. Next day I feel drained. Could this be a thyroid thing? > Celia >
